All TV News Since 2009 Searchable on One Website

Internet Archive has all of the broadcast transcripts and video clips of US National TV networks and stations in San Fransisco and Washington D.C. since 2009 available in its new TV News Search and Borrow database.  New broadcast transcripts and video clips are added 24 hours after they air and broadcast transcripts and video clips prior to 2009 are being added every day. Internet Archive created TV News Search and Borrow to educate people about the issues and candidates in the 2012 U.S. elections.

Map of Emergency Events

RSOE EDIS has put together an interactive alert map, based on data from Google Maps, that displays current worldwide emergency events.  Emergency events include rail and plane accidents, floods, illness outbreaks, earthquakes and tsunamis, and nuclear events.

Middle East Protests: Country by Country

This is a neat interactive map of the Middle East from BBC News. When you click on a Middle Eastern country you are given information about the unrest and protests in that country.

Newspaper Map

Newspaper Map is a neat tool for finding newspapers either by name or by location.  Each newspaper is given a color coded placemark (depicting the language the newspaper in written in)  and is placed on a world map (depicting the place of publication).  Clicking on a placemark will bring you to the website for the newspaper. Newspapers can be translated to numerous languages including English, Italian, Spanish, French, Dutch, Japanese, Russian and Portuguese.

Today’s Front Pages gives visitors an up-close look at the day’s news on up to 80 newspaper front pages from every state, the District of Columbia and countries around the world.

The full selection of front pages is available on newseum.org each day by 8:30 a.m.
